Freddy Adu and Maurício Isla have two things in common.  They both had a great showing at the Under-20 World Cup and they are both rumored to be headed for SL Benfica.  But this is where the similarities end.

Although no one is talking about it here in Portugal, it is mentioned in the States, that Benfica and the MLS have come to an agreement as far as the transfer of Freddy Adu is concerned.  The word now it that the stumbling point is Adu himself how can not seem to come to an agreement with Benfica.  I will have to wait to see how this turns out, but I do think it is kind of funny that this story is completely off the radar here in Portugal…

On the other Maurício Isla is telling everyone who wants to listen that he will  be coming to Benfica, and that Benfica has approached him.  But just like with Adu, the word coming from Benfica is that none of these players are of interest.

I wouldn´t mind to see both these promising young newcomers come to Benfica… if the price is right.
