Di Maria ready to make some history with Benfica FC
Sep 7, 2007
The under-20 Argentinian international Angel Di Maria has only played two games for SL Benfica, but he has already become a fan favorite. The new number 20 in SL Benfica, Di Maria has begun to show some of the moves that set him apart in the under-20 World Cup this summer. He arrived in Portugal with a small injury but has played the last two games, and is beginning to play at a better level.
Di Maria has promised that in “two or three more games I will be at my best” adding, “I am happy to be in such a great club and happy to be playing”. Camacho has been playing him on the left side, but he explained that if given an option he would prefer to play “behind the forward”.
Being from a school of soccer that gave us players like Maradona, Riquelme or Messi, lets just see where this young Di Maria can take us. For now he has caught my attention.
