Well, SL Benfica soccer season is all over for about the next 6 weeks. During this time all we can do is talk about Benfica since there will be no matches to watch. Benfica won AEK today in Giants Stadium 2 – 1, with Rui Costa scoring the game winning goal. More importantly than the actual score was all the emotion surrounding the game, since it is not everyday that Benfica fans in the US and Canada can watch there idols up close and live.

Rumor has it that Beto will be leaving Benfica for AEK (finally!!). Also on the way out are probably Moretto (the fact he got some playing time is a hint of this) and Marco Ferreira. On the way back to Benfica are probably Carlitos. I don´t know how many of you remember him but he came to Benfica last year but hardly saw any playing time. And when he did play he sucked! So he was “lent” to Sion where he actually had a very good season. Well he is still a very young player so he definitely has room for improvement.
